Jacinthe Leblanc a étudié la photographie durant sa première année à l'Université de Moncton alors qu’elle était étudiante aux arts visuels au début des années 1980. Après avoir fait de la photo pendant quelques années, la vie s’est interposée et ce n’est qu’à la suite d’un cours de photographie au CCNB en 2011 que l’amour pour son art lui revient.
Elle est membre du Club Focus Camera de Moncton depuis 2014 où elle a gagné une trentaine de prix lors des concours mensuels de photos. Elle s’est aussi méritée, à l’intérieur du club, le prix Freeman Patterson en 2014 ,2015 et 2017 & le plus haut pointage en 2016 et 2017. Jacinthe aime particulièrement la photo de rue, le portrait et la photo sous-marine. Ses idoles incontestées sont Roméo Cormier, Freeman Patterson, et Vivian Maier.
Elle a présenté ses photos lors de divers événements, dont l’exposition de photos et de vente aux enchères dans le but d’appuyer les campagnes Centraide en 2014-2017, ainsi qu’à l'exposition du Club Focus Camera à la bibliothèque de Moncton en 2015. Elle a aussi participé à Perspective II et a la ligue musicale, tous deux des présentations audio-visuel d’une quinzaine de photographes.
Jacinthe Leblanc studied photography during her first year at Université de Moncton while enrolled in the fine arts program in the early 1980s. She did photography for a few years but somehow life got in the way and it wasn't until 2011, when she took a photography course at NBCC, that her love for photography was re-ignited.
She has been a member of the Moncton Focus Camera Club since 2014 where she has won over 30 prizes during their monthly photo contests. She also won the club’s Freeman Patterson award in 2014, 2015 & 2017 & top points in 2016 & 2017. She particularly likes portrait, street and underwater photography. Her favorite photographers, by far, are Vivian Maier, Freeman Patterson, and Romeo Cormier.
Jacinthe has presented her photos at various events including a workplace photo exhibit and charity auction in 2014-2017 in support of the United Way, as well as the Focus Camera Club’s photo exhibit at the Moncton Library in 2015. She also participated in « La Ligue Musicale » and Perspective II, both audio-visual presentations featuring the work of 15 photographers.
