Très jeune, Maryse Basque se souvient de prendre des photos avec une caméra jouet. Toutefois c’est au début de la vingtaine que son intérêt pour la photographie se précise alors qu’elle voyage en Europe. Après avoir suivi un cours de photographie au Collège Communautaire, Maryse a participé à divers ateliers et excursions photos en plus de suivre des cours en ligne. 

En 2015, une de ses photos fut choisie lors d’un concours de photographie organisé par le Centre des pensions du gouvernement du Canada et sa photo gagnante est exposée dans l’entrée de l’édifice à Shediac. Elle est membre du Club Focus Camera et participe aux activités du groupe de photographes à son travail. Maryse affectionne photographier la nature, les paysages, l’architecture ainsi que des évènements. Maryse dit aimer la diversité de perspectives retrouvée dans le travail de photographes amateurs.  

Maryse Basque remembers taking photos with a toy camera when she was very young. Her interest in photography grew in her early twenties while traveling in Europe. Since then, she has taken a photography course at the Community College and has participated in various workshops, excursions, and online photography courses.

In 2015, one of her photographs was selected as part of a photo contest organized at her workplace and her winning photo is on display in the entrance of the Government of Canada Pension Centre in Shediac. She is a member of the Focus Camera Club and also participates in a photography club at her workplace. Maryse is particularly fond of nature, landscape, and architecture photography, as well as different types of events. She appreciates the variety of perspectives found in the work of amateur photographers.
